You die to so many cheesy/annoying mechanics in Icy Depths that its a PITA. Everything knocks you back off ledges / bosses break floor so you fall to death etc etc. I too went through this as i couldn't click it directly due to it saying 'character cannot move' in red. i got all the way to level 20 - hero level 80 before i realised how it works. Food goes into the C slot with potions. I had run out of potions and was using food without realising it ... lol.
