The pay is low but school and books are free. School is in the evenings, after work, 2-3 days a week. School is comprised of Electrical Theory, hands on classes and college for an associates degree or at least some earned credit for those who already hold a degree. It takes approximately 5 1/2 - 6 years to become a journeyman in our local.
