The citizen support organization (CSO) was formed in 2009 by a group of passionate volunteers who wanted to protect and sustain Weeki Wachee Springs State Park. The CSO is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization with oversight by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection's Division of Recreation and Parks.
